Mystery Visitor
This handsome fellow became quite infatuated with my Echinacea flowers yesterday, and as you can see by the photos, I became quite infatuated with him. Does anyone know what type of butterfly he is?
I know you wrote this last summer, but I thought you might want to know. This lovely butterfly is the "West Coast Lady", or Vanessa annabella. Related to the "Painted Lady", the "American Painted Lady", and the "Red Admiral" These butterflies are in the category known as "brushfoots". :o)
